DESCRIPTION OF FUNCTION |
MO-02574 & MO-02865 |
ARMATURE CONTACTOR A two-pole DC magnetic contactor provides positive disconnect of the motor armature from the rectified power source for added safety. |
MO-03045 | DC TACHOMETER (VOLTAGE) FOLLOWER (NON-ISOLATED) This option allows the speed of the PACEMASTER to be controlled automatically by a speed reference voltage from a DC tachometer generator. This enables the speed of one motor to follow the speed of a master motor or machine. This option will accept a DC input signal of 10-275 volts at maximum motor speed. |
MO-02586 | ARMATURE CONTACTOR WITH DYNAMIC BRAKING (DB) Reduces the stopping time of the motor when the STOP button is depressed. Under normal operation, the motor will coast-to-rest. If a dynamic braking kit has been added, when the STOP button is depressed the motor functions as a generator, and the rotating mechanical energy is turned into electrical energy which is dissipated as heat in the dynamic braking resistor. Dynamic braking is not a holding brake, and will not keep a motor at rest from rotating. The kit consists of a contactor and dynamic braking resistor. |
MO-03047 | DC TACHOMETER FEEDBACK & DC TACHOMETER (VOLTAGE) FOLLOWER The dual-function plug-in card provides the PACEMASTER drive with both the tech feedback and tech follower (non- isolated) functions. |
MO-02575 | ARMATURE CONTACTOR WITH DYNAMIC BRAKING
& ANTI-PLUG RELAY The kit consists of a contactor, dynamic braking resistor and an anti-plug relay. The anti-plug relay inhibits restarting the controller until the braking cycle is complete, thereby avoiding a potentially damaging electrical surge and mechanical stress. |
MO-03508 | PULSE TACHOMETER FEEDBACK & PULSE TACHOMETER FOLLOWER This option allows the use of a magnetic pulse pick-up on the motor for accurate speed control and accepts a pulse input from another motor or rotating machinery permitting the drive to follow at an adjustable ratio. |
MO-02867 | DYNAMIC BRAKING RESISTOR This option provides dynamic braking for the PACEMASTER 2. The kit must be used with the armature contactor (MO02865) or reversing contactors (MO-02866). |
MO-08437 | DIGITAL PULSE TACHOMETER FEEDBACK & DIGITAL PULSE TACHOMETER FOLLOWER This option provides the following functions to the PACEMASTER drive: * Digital Pulse Tachometer Feedback from CMC Model 70 Tachometer *Digital Pulse Tachometer Follower from CMC Model 70 Tachometer *Line driver output to provide a speed signal to a follower drive also equipped with this option. *Line driver output for digital speed display *Isolated Digital speed reference input This option is ideal for applications that require one drive (slave) to closely follow (±¼) the speed of another drive (master) either at the same speed or at a constant ratio. |
MO-02868 | ANTI-PLUG RELAY This option inhibits restarting the PACEMASTER 2 Controller until the braking cycle is complete. The kit must be used with contactor option MO-02865 or MO-02866. |
MO-03144-0 & MO-03144-1 |
ISOLATED DC TACHOMETER (VOLTAGE) FOLLOWER This option is functionally the same as the non-isolated tachometer follower. The difference is that a control isolation transformer is supplied with the plug-in card, to isolate the incoming reference voltage from the controller. The option will accept a DC input signal of 5-275 volts at maximum motor speed. |
MO-02576 & MO-02866 |
REVERSING CONTACTORS This option consists of two 2-pole contactors and provides full armature reversing. |
MO-03143-0 & MO-03143-1 |
ISOLATED DC TACHOMETER (VOLTAGE) FOLLOWER & DC TACHOMETER FEEDBACK This option is a dual-function printed circuit board which is inserted into the PACEMASTER control assembly PC board. The option board can be used to function as a tachometer feedback and as an isolated tachometer follower. The option will accept an input signal from a DC tachometer generator with an output voltage range of 10- 275 volts at maximum motor speed for feedback. This option is not available for reversing applications. |
MO-02587 | REVERSING WITH DYNAMIC BRAKING This option kit offers a convenient method to change the direction of motor rotation. By adding this kit, the operator can select the direction of rotation by depressing the FOR or REV selector switch The kit consists of FORWARD and REVERSE contactors and dynamic braking resistor. |
MO-03319 | ISOLATED DC TACHOMETER (VOLTAGE) FOLLOWER & PULSE TACHOMETER FEEDBACK This option is a dual-function printed circuit board which is inserted into the PACEMASTER control assembly PC board. The option board can be used to provide magnetic pulse pick-up feedback and isolated tachometer follower functions. The option card will accept a DC input signal of 5-260 volts at maximum motor speed for the follower function. |
MO-02577 | REVERSING WITH DYNAMIC BRAKING &
ANTI-PLUG RELAY This option consists of FORWARD and REVERSE contactors, dynamic braking resistor and an anti-plug relay. |
MO-02538 | PROCESS FOLLOWER (NON-ISOLATED) This option enables the PACEMASTER to automatically follow a milliampere signal from a process controller. Typical applications are those where motor speed must be controlled as a function of a process variable such as temperature, pressure, weight, fluid flow, etc. The kit consists of a small PC card which plugs into the PACEMASTER control assembly PC card. The card will accept a 0-5,1-5,0-20,4-20,0-50, or 10-50 mA ungrounded input signal. |
MO-02785-0 & MO-02785-1 |
SOLID STATE DYNAMIC BRAKING This option provides the PACEMASTER 1Controller a means of dynamic braking of the motor without the use of an armature contactor. The dynamic braking function allows the motor to act as a generator; the rotating mechanical (kinetic) energy is converted into electrical energy that is dissipated in the form of heat by the dynamic braking resistor. Not available for reversing applications. |
MO-03146-0 & MO-03146-1 |
ISOLATED PROCESS FOLLOWER This option enables the PACEMASTER to follow a low level current signal, typically obtainable from a monitoring device or flow transducer. The standard input ranges are 0-5, 1- 5, 0-20, 4-20, 0- 50 and 10-50 mA. Isolation is provided between the input signal and the controller. Also, use of an external switch with this option will provide for either AUTOMATIC (Follower) or MANUAL (Speed Pot.) modes of operation. |
MO-02569 | DC TACHOMETER FEEDBACK This option card interfaces between a tachometer generator and the PACEMASTER Controller. The option will accept an input signal from a DC tachometer generator with an output voltage range of 12-275 volts at maximum motor speed. The tachometer signal replaces the IR compensation circuitry in the controller making the unit directly sensitive to motor speed for improved speed regulation. This results in expanded speed range, improved speed regulation with load changes and reduced sensitivity to operating conditions such as line voltage variations, ambient temperature changes, motor field heating and other operating variables. |
MO-03310-0 | LINEAR ACCEL/DECEL & PULSE TACHOMETER FEEDBACK This dual function plug-in option allows linear accel/decel and pulse tachometer feedback features to be used with the PACEMASTER drive. Separate adjustment potentiometers for accel and decel are supplied on the option card. |
MO-03309 | PULSE TACHOMETER FEEDBACK This option card interfaces between a magnetic pulse pickup and the PACEMASTER Controller to provide speed feedback. The card will accept input from a 60 pulse per revolution magnetic pulse tachometer. Speed Regulation is defined as 1% of motor base speed over a 25:1 speed range. |
MO-03310-1 |
Same as above except a terminal strip is provided for connecting external adjustment potentiometers. Potentiometers are not included. |
MO-03145-0 & MO-03145-1 |
ISOLATED PROCESS FOLLOWER & DC TACHOMETER FEEDBACK This option provides the same function as the Isolated Process Follower, and additionally provides for use of tachometer generator feedback to regulate motor speed. The option will accept an input signal from a DC tachometer generator with an output voltage range of 10-275 volts at maximum motor speed for feedback. This option is not available for reversing applications. |
MO-04275 | PLC/PUSHBUTTON REVERSING WITH ANTI-PLUG This option provides the additional logic required to permit the PACEMASTER Controller to be used with a Programmable Logic Controller, Reversing Relays, or Pushbutton Operators for reversing applications. The option provides the necessary interlocking so that a Forward and a Reverse command cannot enter the drive simultaneously. The first command to enter the drive will take priority until it is removed thus allowing a new command to enter the drive. Anti-plug protection is also provided with this option. This option requires the addition of the appropriate Reversing Contactor option (MO-02576 or M0-02587 for PACEMASTER 1, or MO-02866 for PACEMASTER 2) for proper operation. |
MO-03318 | ISOLATED PROCESS FOLLOWER & PULSE TACHOMETER FEEDBACK This option provides the same function as the Isolated Process Follower, and additionally provides for use of magnetic pulse pick-up feedback to regulate motor speed. |
MO-06327 | PLC/PUSHBUTTON REVERSING WITH ANTI-PLUG & DC TACHOMETER FEEDBACK This dual-function option provides the control logic as described above and tachometer feedback features to be used with the PACEMASTER drive. The option will accept an input signal from a DC tachometer generator with an output voltage range of 12-275 volts at maximum motor speed. |
MO-02540- 0 & MO-02540-1 |
TORQUE TAPER KIT This option is designed for simple center-driven winders which require nearly constant tension. This requires the motor current (torque) limit to increase as the motor speed decreases. This option allows fine adjustment of the slope and break point of speed-torque curve. |
MO-02774 | JOG AT INDEPENDENT SPEED This option provides the PACEMASTER Controller with a jog function at a speed other than controller speed. This jog action is momentary, causing motor rotation when the RUN switch is depressed. |

The option will accept an input signal from a DC tachometer generator with an output voltage range of 12-275 volts at maximum motor speed. |
MO-02775 | JOG AT INDEPENDENT SPEED & DC TACHOMETER FEEDBACK This dual function option card provides both independent jog speed and tachometer feedback functions. The option will accept an input signal from a DC tachometer generator with an output voltage range of 12-275 volts at maximum motor speed. |
MO-02570 | LINEAR ACCEL/DECEL This option permits potentiometer adjustment of the solid-state timing circuits to establish a desired time span to attain a preset speed. Acceleration and deceleration rates are independently adjustable from 2 to 20 seconds. The adjustments are made by potentiometers located on the option card. Also, external acceleration and deceleration time adjustment can be made by external potentiometers. |
MO-02585 | HIGH VOLTAGE FIELD SUPPLY, FULL WAVE KIT This option provides a full-wave field excitation for shunt-wound DC motors with high voltage fields. The kit supplies 100VDC for 115VAC controllers and 200VDC for 230VAC controllers. |
